And, this morning, I'm another few pounds lighter. I woke up and entered the kitchen, looking at my nightshirt. It was hanging in ways it has never hung before!! lolol I thought, "I just weighed yesterday morning, but something's different!"
I stepped on the scale, waited for it's computer to adjust and when I looked down, I was shocked! Another 3.5 pounds gone, OVERNIGHT!! I'm now just shy of -31 pounds total. I saw a number on the scale I haven't seen in many, many years!!
Ohhhhhhhh, chiuauauauauauauau! Unbelievable. I intended to go to church this morning, but for some weired reason we both stayed awake and up until llish last night. Yes, we overslept! Remember? When I sleep now, I sleep and sleep and get lots of rest? So, from now on, set the alarm on Sunday mornings and get with it!
Yes, I'm amazed. Yes, I'm tickled too death. What am I eating? Pureed foods, but delicious foods. Michael fired up the charcoal grill yesterday and added apple wood to it. He smoked boneless, skinless chicken thighs, turkey legs and some Italian Sausages for him. The chicken and turkey is to die for, even pureed! Thus, not missing any flavors in all of this.
I did learn a good lesson, though. I was cutting the thighs and getting them ready for the processor. I took a bite and the minute it went down, I thought, 'what an idiot, I shouldn't have done that!' I had some pain that I've not felt before and it lasted a few minutes. Will I do that again before time to chew regular foods? NOT!
Anyhow, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it! I hope everyone has a super Sunday and does something very enjoyable for themselves!! Catch YOU on the flip flop!
On March 12, 2009, I was banded with the lap band. I lost a total of 46 lbs. and after one year, gained it back. Frustrated, fat, and aggravated, time marched on. As a 'senior' now, my realization of the true meaning of life has come clear. I did not retire wealthy, I retired. I have time, no gold...it's time to reflect from the inner self out into the world.
About Me

- Humble, Texas, United States
- Retired educator, retired freelance photographer, retired life. I loved the classroom, laughter of the students, small successes that made them glow and the feeling of 'family' among faculty. However, job done and on to new things. Life was on 'cruise control' until March, 2004...and then, there was a halting screech, lung and heart issues and physicians galore. But, I beat the odds and HERE I AM...STILL HUFFIN' AND PUFFIN'!!! Let's see where this leads.....
